Some music needs a longer duration to develop. Here are some excerpts from my long pieces: the half hour concerto for accordion and string orchestra »Die Nachtwache« is going to get more and more calm, quiet and harmonic. The Medea related dodecaphonic orchestral composition »M« and the dance for bagpipes »danse mediévale« move through different sound conditions. The »Marginalien« are the musical annotations by four woodwinds to an audio-score, which is no longer heard. In the sonic art pieces »NYC Museums Cycle« and »Beijing« field recordings build one layer of the composition while in the almost one hour long »Gazimagusa« analogue and digital noise sounds are modulated by some texts by Shakespeare. »Muspilli« is a setting for two choirs and organ of an apocalyptic, middle high german text from the 9th century ...
