tri:angel ^{[ deutsch ]}

In 2023, Barbara Schachtner, Dorrit Bauerecker and I decided to form a trio. A trio that perceives itself as a geometric shape and functions like an isosceles triangle: tri:angel. With voices, keyboard instruments and electroacoustics, we realise compositions of different styles, conceptual improvisations and graphic scores.

»River Of Time« is a modal homage to and parody of Heraclitus; »Rondel« is an a cappella setting of a text by Georg Trakl. »Alla Rabih« is inspired by the Lebanese composer Rabih Abou Khalil. »Mandorla« is the interface between the profane and the spiritual. The composition »Kette« uses its chain links to determine the relationship between foreground and background. Solomon's »Hohelied« appears as an introverted soliloquy, William Blake's »Auguries Of Innocence« as a litany.
